OUR RETURN POLICY


Unless otherwise noted, we accept returns on unused items purchased in our retail store for up to 30 days with proof of purchase. Proof of purchase consists of a printed receipt, but if we are able to look up the transaction in a customer’s account the receipt is not required. It is up to management’s discretion if a return may be taken without proof of purchase.

Refunds are issued in the same form of payment as the purchase was made with the following exceptions: Any items that are purchased in an exchange with a returned item are eligible for in-store credit if subsequently returned. If a cash refund is over $50, we reserve the right to refund the amount by check instead. If a customer chooses, they may receive their refund as in-store credit instead of the original form of payment. In-store credit will always be issued if there is no proof of purchase. 

Because of the specialized products that we offer, please note the following exceptions to our 30 day return policy:

• Chemicals: We do not accept any returns or exchanges on chemicals. Once a chemical has been purchased and leaves the store, it is no longer able to be refunded or exchanged. This applies to all pool and spa sanitizers, shocks, balancers, and other accessory chemicals.
• Equipment: We do not accept returns on any pool or spa equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to: automatic cleaners, filters, heat pumps, heaters, lights, motors, pumps, cells, and salt systems. Defective equipment may be assessed for warranty coverage during their respective warranty periods and are subject to repair, not replacement.
• Electrical Merchandise/Parts: Returns are not accepted on any merchandise or parts that require electricity to run/operate or that interface with electrical components. This includes, but is not limited to: battery-powered vacuums, pool alarms, system displays, control boards, and heater components, as well as spa pumps, heaters, remotes, controls, and related components. Defective electrical merchandise and parts are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty and will be handled based on their guidelines.
• Maintenance Items and Hoses: Defective maintenance items and hoses may only be returned or exchanged with proof of purchase within 14 days of purchase date. Rips/tears in netting of skimmers/leaf rakes after use is not considered a manufacturer’s defect. 
• Pool Safety Covers and Spa Covers: We do not accept returns on Pool Safety Covers or Spa Covers. These items are subject to their manufacturers’ warranties.
• Special Order Items: Items that are special ordered because Rainbow Pools does not stock/carry said item may not be returned or exchanged unless due to manufacturer’s defect.
• Toys, Games, Inflatables, and Goggles: Unopened and unused toys, games, inflatables, and goggles may be returned or exchanged with proof of purchase within 30 days. Opened/used toys, games, inflatables, and goggles may be returned only if defective and only within 14 days of purchase date.
• Grills, Furniture, and Outdoor Heating: Grills, Furniture, and Patio Heaters are not returnable and are subject to manufacturer’s warranty for repair. 
• Winter Covers: Solid winter covers that are returned out of the box will incur a 30% restocking fee. Defective covers may be assessed for warranty coverage. The manufacturer’s warranty covers seam separation only—any holes or tears that develop are considered normal wear and tear.
• Winter Products: Air pillows and water bags may not be returned after 7 days. Only defective merchandise with seam separation may be returned during the 30-day warranty period after purchase.
