Why does my Polaris not backing up?
Cleaner doesn't back up?
1. Ensure the back-up valve (large white egg on hose) is installed properly (facing the backward direction). If the valve is on backwards it will either run constantly or won't engage at all. Also make sure the back-up valve is cycling on and off.
2. Check back-up valve for cracks that could let water leak out.
3. Ensure hose floats are positioned properly, with one directly behind the back-up valve.
4. If the filter bag is full, empty or replace it.
5. Make sure the feed hose is floating.
